Filming & BVA

A BVA is an excellent pig used for batching and cleaning with the maneuverability around 90° bends and can also be used as a chasing pig. Used most commonly as the lead pig in filming applications.

Filming pigs were designed to apply (inhibit) any type of coating or film on the interior of pipe walls. In order to apply a film, the pig is designed with a by-pass disc and a spreading disc, which is machined as per line specification. The unique conical nose has greater maneuverability around short bends, such as 45°, 90°and T’s.

PPS Barber Pigs

BVA’s can be built with a bolt in the back end for attaching Wire Wheel Brushes.

BVA’s and Filming pigs, like all solid cast urethane products, can be manufactured in a variety of durometers for flexibility or more chemical resistance. When ordering filming pigs with extra discs (3 or more) we alternate notching on the discs for even by-pass of the inhibitor.

All Filming Pigs can be machined to customer specifications.

Durometers available for urethane products are as follows:

60 Durometer

70 Durometer

80 Durometer

*Can go harder than 90 Durometer if needed*
